ASI Food Safety Consultants is in the process of becoming Safe Quality Food (SQF)
Certified by the SQF Institute. The ASI Food Safety Consultants goal in becoming SQF
certified is to enable existing customers as well as any supply chain, the opportunity to
have a SQF audit conducted with the assurance that production and manufacturing
processes comply with food regulations, and other standards. There are three SQF Codes; SQF 1000, SQF 2000, and SQF 3000. These Codes are based on HACCP, Codex, ISO and Quality Management Systems. Within the SQF Codes, there are three certification levels. Level 1 is Food Safety Fundamentals; level 2 is Food Safety Plans; level 3 is Comprehensive Food Safety and Quality Management Systems Development. When having an SQF audit conducted, it is your company’s way of stating that you are committed to providing safe, quality food, and that your company’s food supply to others has been produced, prepared, and handled with the highest possible standards in mind.

The SQF Program goes beyond a simple audit, ensuring that suppliers observe the best practices in food safety and quality management. The program is endorsed by food safety experts and companies internationally. The SQF system was designed specifically for the food industry and has developed standards for general food safety practices, while incorporating U.S. and international requirements.
