The ASI Story

ASI has a long history in the food industry that started as a pest control company for food processing plants in St Louis, Missouri in the 1930’s. ASI became one of the first food safety audit companies in the United States when our food processing clients asked us to help them improve their food safety practices and help them meet FDA expectations.

As the industry grew, so did our Food Safety Programs. This led us to develop an auditing system to minimize risks for primary producers, food processing plants, distribution centers, packaging facilities, and retailers making us one of the first auditing companies in the industry.

Because of the growing and ever-changing climate in the food safety industry, we closed the Pest Control business in 2008 to focus solely on Food Safety.

ASI has been a third-generation family owned business up until 2016 when Charray Williams, a long-time employee, bought the company so we can continue to remain a close-knit, family- oriented team that is passionate in helping our customers continue to improve their food safety programs. Today we are still a family owned business with 2 generations managing our operations.
