BRC (British Retail Consortium) Standards are a leading global safety and quality certification program used throughout the world.

The Global Standards are used by suppliers to the global retail industry thus allowing standardization of quality, safety, operational criteria and manufacturers’ fulfillment of legal obligations to provide protection to the consumer. BRC can be used for processing, packaging, and logistics.

BRC is composed of seven sections:

●    Food safety and quality management
●    Site standards
●    Product Control
●    Process Control
●    Personnel

Evaluations usually last about a day and a half and must take place during hours of production.
