Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) are required by 21 CFR 100. This audit focuses on preventing contamination and minimizing errors. Areas of inspection include record keeping, personnel practices, equipment maintenance, sanitation, procedures, and complaint policies.
Third party food safety audits began more than fifty years ago to prepare food manufacturers and distributors for a possible FDA inspection. These audits have evolved into certifying vendors or suppliers at a certain level of food safety. Food retailers or manufacturers now require a third party food safety audit from their vendors.
ASI is the leader in Food Safety audits. Owners of the family run ASI have been conducting audits for three generations. Developing exceptional client relationships and providing the highest quality of technical expertise remains the key difference of working with ASI.
